Nodilla Gail Backus, age 59, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at her home. Nodilla was born on November 5, 1960 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Fred and Mildred (Price) Backus. She grew up in Ponca City where she attended school. In 1979 she began dating Abraham Magana. After three wonderful years together, the couple got married. They had four children, Nodilla loved the time she spent taking care of their home and children. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving to honor her memory are her loving husband, Abraham Magana of the home; children, Albert John Spotted-Bear, Natasha Brown, Maria Magana and Armondo Magana; ten grandchildren and brother, Tom Backus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mildred Backus. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Daniel Lorimer officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
