Obituary of Vickie Elaine Males

Vickie Elaine Males, 62 of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 14, 1958 in Coffeyville to Jimmy L. and Barbara (Colley) Johnson. Vickie grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1976. On March 12, 1982 she married Don Males at Miami, Oklahoma. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their children Craig and Kara. When her children were young Vickie cared for several children in her home and was loved by all of them. Vickie and Don were seen at many a City Rec ball game when Craig, Kara, and their nieces and nephews were playing games and later at Roosevelt and Field Kindley High School sporting events. Surviving to honor her memory are her loving husband,, Don of the home; her son, Craig Males and wife, Tamara of Coffeyville, her daughter, Kara Dawn Males of Coffeyville; her mother, Barbara Johnson of Coffeyville; four grandchildren, Brayden Males, Daxon Males, Kensley Males and Rylan Males; nephew, Casey Starnes, niece Jamie Grant, niece, Alyson Long and many other nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy L. Johnson and one sister, Donna Starnes. Following Vickie's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville.
