Susan Kay Rinkenbaugh, 52, of Coffeyville, KS died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Windsor Place. She was born August 13, 1968 in Coffeyville to Floyd J. and Rita M. (Cillessen) Rinkenbaugh. She attended Holy Name Catholic School and is a graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School. Susan completed courses at Coffeyville Community College and went on to work through Class LTD at various area businesses. She was the Coffeyville Class LTD Office Secretary for twenty years and later retired in August 2019 from housekeeping services. Susan was a lifetime, active parishioner of Holy Name Catholic Church serving as Eucharistic Minister, Rosary leader, member of: Cursillo, Choir, Altar Society and a Charter member of Family of Friends Faith and Light, and an Associate of the Sisters of Saint Joseph. She laundered and ironed the Altar Linens for many years. Susan also volunteered at the local Red Cross Office. Through these prayer, work, and social interactions, Susan exceeded every expectation, bringing joy, a smile, and many blessings to others. Susan is survived by her mother, Rita Rinkenbaugh of Coffeyville, three brothers, John (Diane) Rinkenbaugh of Collinsville, OK; Bill (Teri) Rinkenbaugh of El Dorado, KS; Robert (Tammi) Rinkenbaugh of Wichita; two sisters, Mary Ann (Craig) Dreiling of Wichita; Rita (Mugger) Taylor of Independence; a Sister-in-law, Sandi Rinkenbaugh of Wann, OK; twenty three nieces, nephews, and twenty great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Rinkenbaugh and a brother, Joe Rinkenbaugh. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Susan's faith filled life will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 15, 2021. The Rosary and Mass will both be at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Daniel Lorimer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Coffeyville. Contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337. Due to current health concerns everyone will be required to practice social distancing and wear a face mask. Friends may call on Thursday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the David W.
