Douglas P. Lyle,69, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 at his home. H
e was born on June 27th, 1951 in Zanesville, OH. He was the son of Carson "Bud" Lyle and Ferne V (Ansel) Lyle.
Doug graduated from Ohio University November 1972 and served our country in the U.S Army. He was honorably released from duty December 4th, 1974.
He has resided in Coffeyville, Kansas for the last 25 years where he worked for Coffeyville Resources. He happily retired 3 years ago and enjoyed every minute of his retirement from sleeping in, breakfast at Braum's or McDonald's, watching football and NASCAR, traveling, and just sitting outside visiting with friends. He enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a hard worker, always willing to work overtime if needed, never met a stranger, great sense of humor and infectious laugh, loved to joke around, and when he gave you his word he meant it!
He will be missed by his brother Larry Eugene Lyle (Gene) & and his wife Connie (Willison) Lyle, daughters Angela Lyle, Rachel Lyle, and Renee Lyle, and mother of his children Darcy A. Lyle, granddaughters Emma K. McCombs, Elise R. McCombs, nieces Theresa K. (Lyle) Bates and her husband Johnny Bates, Terre E. Craft (Lyle) and her husband Chris Craft, and nephew Bryan S. Lyle and his wife Heather, great nieces and nephews Logan S. Lyle, Carson D. Lyle, McKenzie E. Lyle, Morgan E. Lyle, Reegan L. Lyle, Sydnee L. Craft and Skye L.
