Coffeyville - Sharron K. Richey, 66, of Coffeyville passed away Sunday (March 11, 2007) at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was born December 3, 1940 in Coffeyville to Louis H. and Clara C. (Smith) Fitzsimmons. She received her elementary school education at Hoffman School southwest of South Coffeyville, OK, and graduated from Caney High School in Caney. In 1957 she married Bobby Gene Richey. Following their marriage they lived in several different states while he was in the military. They were divorced in 1977. After returning to the Coffeyville area she was employed at Automotive Controls Corp. in Independence. She retired after 23 years of employment. She was a member of the South Coffeyville United Methodist Church. Survivors include one sister, Christine Benning of Coffeyville; two brothers Mike Bowen of Burlington, Iowa, and Bruce Bowen of Independence; one uncle Lauren Smith of rural Wann, OK; six aunts, Ruby Petty of rural Wann, OK, Ethel Lemmons of Nowata, OK, Nevada Ryan of Manheim, PA, Berniece Ryan of Vinita, OK, Margie Wharton of Burleson, TX, and Vesta Murdock of Coffeyville; and many nieces and nephews. There are no services planned at this time. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
