Beulah Ester McClure Wisely, age 93, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. Beulah was born on May 23, 1927 in Lenapah, Oklahoma to William O. and Hattie P. (Smith) McClure. She was the 4th out of 7 children born to the couple. The family lived on a farm in Lenapah where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Lenapah High School. After high school Beulah met and married Ray L. Martin. From that union two children were born, David Ray and Kathy Elaine. The couple later divorced. In 1955 she was united in marriage to Gerald R. Wisely. Of that union one daughter was born, Patti. The family moved to rural Edna, Kansas where they farmed for around 14 years. They then moved to Coffeyville, Kansas where they opened Wisely Greenhouse and Garden Center on Overlook for around 30 years. They were members of the First Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Beulah enjoyed tending to plants and flowers and liked to spend time alongside Gerald in the garden. Most of all she loved the time she spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, family and close friends. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, David Martin of Coffeyville, Kansas, Kathy Moore of Cherryvale, Kansas, Linda Wisely of Olathe, Kansas; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Bill McClure and wife, Donna, Ken McClure and wife, Shirley; several other nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hattie McClure; loving husband, Gerald Wisely; daughter, Patti Detar; grandson, Richard Moore and a niece. Following Beulah's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. No services are scheduled at this time.
