Sedan - Charles L. Todd, age 86, of Coffeyville, Kansas, former longtime resident of Sedan, passed away Saturday evening, March 10, 2007 at his residence in Coffeyville. He was born August 12, 1920 in Tahoka, Texas to Oliver and Lucy (Blackwell) Todd. He served in the United States Army for three years. He married Opal Booher on January 13, 1945 in Arkansas City, Kansas. They moved to Sedan in 1953. He worked at the Ackerman Hardware and Lumber Store in Sedan, retiring from there in 1987. They moved to Tyro in 2004. They later moved to rural Coffeyville in October of 2006. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sedan for many years and the Tyro Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Opal of the home in Coffeyville, Kansas; one son, Jim Todd of Afton, Oklahoma; two daughters, Tammy Datson of Coffeyville, Kansas and Debra Royal of Sedan, Kansas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and twelve brothers and sisters. Family and friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, March 12, 2007 at the David W. Barnes funeral Home in Sedan. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan, Kansas with Pastor David Bycroft of the Tyro Christian Church officiating.
