Johnnie Lee Kitterman, age 64, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his home. John was born on May 27, 1956 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Jack and Mary Jane (Knisley) Kitterman. He attended grade school in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and graduated from Lenapah High School in Lenapah, Oklahoma. In 1977 he married Betty Muller, the couple later divorced. He married Kristy Newman, they were later divorced. In 1983 he married Sue Shaw, the couple later divorced. John later married Kristi Lay they divorced and remained close friends. John was a tow truck driver and worked for Rough Country Towing. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and driving the tow truck. Most of all he loved the time he spent surrounded by his family and friends. Surviving to honor his memory is his mother, Mary Jane Kitterman; children, Ronnie Kitterman, Keyla Kitterman, Nikki Kitterman, Jake Brown, Jeff Brown, Shawna Rogers, Billy Orand, Rusty Watts, Randy Watts, Steven Watts, Valarie Smith and adopted children, Kevin and Jessica Rucker; fourteen grandchildren; brothers, Mike and Gary Kitterman; sister, Brenda Furnas. John was preceded in death by his father, Jack Kitterman and by a brother, Jack Kitterman. Cremation has taken place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Pastor Jimmy Harrington will officiate. Memorial Contributions can be made to the South Coffeyville Fire Department; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
