Obituary of Rickey Dean Walker

Rick D. Walker, age 69, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his home.
Rick was born on July 23, 1951 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Merle and Irene (Holderbaum) Walker. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School.
On September 3, 1976 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Marianna Bowman in Coffeyville, Kansas where the couple made their home and raised their children. Rick worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 30+ years. He also owned and operated Colortrax video store alongside his wife.
Rick was a master of any given hobby he had. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, building and flying model airplanes, making ink pens, playing guitar and banjo. He was also a collector of many things and lots of stuff. He enjoyed going to auctions and spending time outside with his grandchildren. Most of all he loved the time he spent with Marianna and his family.
Surviving to honor his memory are his children, Rickey Walker and fiance Jennifer Meredith of Coffeyville, Kansas, Dustin Walker and wife, Elizabeth of Pittsburg, Kansas, Tracy Yandell of Coffeyville, Kansas; grandchildren, Malorie, Taylor and Beckett Walker, Bailey and Drake Walker, Selena Rhianna and Nicholas Jordan; brothers, Jim Walker of Claremore, Oklahoma, Bob Walker and wife, Brenda of Gulfport, Mississippi; sister in law, Rebecca Monday and husband, Tony of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Irene Walker; loving wife, Marianna Walker and brother-in-law Heath Vaughn.
Following Rick's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Coffeyville. Pastor Randy DePriest will officiate.
