Everett Edwin Hanna, age 66, of Grove, OK went to be with the Lord May 23, 2021 in Tulsa, OK passing peacefully from renal failure. He was born in Coffeyville, KS and attended Whittier Elementary and graduated from FKHS in 1973. He also attended CCJC and earned a Master’s degree from Central Missouri State. He worked in the field of Industrial Safety. He was employed by Total Petroleum for the majority of his career. His career took him overseas in 2005. He worked in numerous countries including the U.S, France, Qatar, China and Malaysia. He has many friends and colleagues all over of the world. It was one of his greatest passions to help others and highlight their attributes. He was a devout Lutheran all his life and always did what he could to help and feed others. He loved feeding the birds and taking care of his “garden.” He and Patti enjoyed fishing and boating. He loved playing golf with good friends. Grilling and watching baseball and football and following the lives of his grandsons were among his favorites. Friends have commented how kind and caring he was and what a huge heart he had. He was a fun-loving guy who always had a big smile and encouraging word. He was a great friends, husband, father and grandfather. He leaves a huge void in the lives of many, but is smiling down on all those he touched. He is survived by Patricia (Bennett), his wife of 45 years, children Jon-Tyler Hanna (wife Nicole and sons, Gabriel and Christopher), Caitlin Owens (husband Ross and son Ezekiel), sister Connie Bossman (husband Clyde and children Tonya and Stephen), brother Robert (wife Lisa and children Sarah Beth and Matthew), sister-in-law Judy Hanna, mother-in-law Mary Bennett, sister-in-law Carla Adrian (and daughter Stevie Marie, numerous other nieces and nephews and his closest friends, Jon Graham and Terry Beeson. He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Lucille Hanna and his older brother Donald. At least four others will benefit from his generosity as an organ donor. He wished to be cremated with his remains scattered at Grand Lake, OK which he referred to as his “slice of Heaven.” Memorial service and Celebration of Life are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cancer society, VFW or American Legion.
