Obituary of Susanne Robinson

Claudia "Susanne" Robinson, age 68, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Monday, July 13, 2021 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Susanne was born on August 7, 1952 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Robert and Wauneta (Maxson) Moore. She grew up in Edna where she attended local schools. Her sophomore year she went to Labette County High School where she graduated from high school. Susanne worked a few different jobs throughout the years that included Old Parker Tackle where she tied fishing lures, Coffeyville Stockyards where she worked in the office, and housekeeping at CRMC. The job she held the longest was a home health care provider and was loved by all those she cared for. On May 16, 1980 she was united in marriage to Isaac "Duke" Robinson in Coffeyville. The couple made their home in southeast Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2009. Susanne was a member of the Methodist faith. In her younger years she was active in 4-H. More recently she filled her time with spending time with her family and grandkids. She enjoyed the time she spent going to their activities, taking them fishing and many get-togethers they were able to have. She was a collector of owls and angels. Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Ira (Danielle) Allen of Wichita, Kansas, Robin (Melissa) Moore of Edna, Kansas; grandchildren, Bryce Mitts, Chandler Moore, Riley Moore, Wyatt Moore and Langly Moore; a brother-in-law, Sam Robinson of Louisiana; significant other, Chris Woods and his family; along with several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Wauneta Moore; loving husband, Duke Robinson; brother, Al Moore; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Funk-Moore, Gerri Moore, Louvenia Vaughn and brothers-in-law, Earl Robinson and Wilson Robinson. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Edna United Methodist Church in Edna, Kansas. Burial will follow at the North Edna Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 1pm until 4:30 pm at David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Visitation will continue on Friday evening at the Edna United Methodist Church from 6pm-8pm where the family will greet friends. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Edna United Methodist Church; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Rd, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
