Betty Rosson, 96, of Coffeyville passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. Betty was born on October 5, 1924 in Coody’s Bluff, Oklahoma to LuLu and Alonzo Trimble. They moved to Centralia, Oklahoma where she lived and met Ivan Hargrove. They were married and moved to Coffeyville, Kansas. Together they had five children, Linda, Kelly, Diana, Duane and Cathy. The later divorced and she married Finis Rosson of Coffeyville. Betty was always working in her yard and beautiful flower beds. She loved the great outdoors. She enjoyed working at Golden Books and Western Publishing Co. when they were in Coffeyville. Betty retired in 1998; she continued to enjoy her ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending from 1953 until her later years when she was no longer able to attend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Lulu Trimble; husband’s Ivan Hargrove and Finis Rosson; three children, Kelly Hargove, Diana Young and Cathy Ford; one sister, Donna Mann; and one brother, Billy Trimble. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, one daughter, Linda Thompson and husband, Tommy of Coffeyville; one son, Duane Hargrove and wife, Judy of Nesbit, Mississippi. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the Veterans Memorial Patio in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville with Pastor Doug Mund of Grace Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, September 6th from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
