Kate Logan Rexwinkle, age 38 of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Northcare Hospice in Kansas City, Missouri. Kate was born on December 30, 1982 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Melvin and Sally (Beal) Rexwinkle. The family lived in Coffeyville, Blackwell, Oklahoma and Bartlesville, Oklahoma where Kate attended school in all three locations. Kate loved music and family. She was blessed with a child of her own, Eli Briggs that she adored. Being a mom was her full time job. Kate was loved by all that knew her and will be missed. Surviving to cherish her memory is her loving child, Eli Briggs of Lawrence, Kansas; fiancé, Christopher Davis; her father and step-mother, Melvin and Ann Rexwinkle; step-father, John Leonard all of Coffeyville, Kansas; siblings, Joe and Amanda Rexwinkle and their children Jake and Nora of Kansas City, Missouri, Mark and Connie Rudd of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Laurinda and Francis Hannah of Coffeyville, Kansas; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends. Kate was received into Heaven by her mother, Sally Leonard who preceded her in death on June 1, 2013 along with her paternal and maternal grandparents. Cremation has taken place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home of Coffeyville. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held by the family at the Westside Christian Church with Pastor Kevin O’Connor officiating on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Center for Addiction and Treatment. These may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W Barnes Funeral Home.
