Obituary of Norma Jean Hader

Norma Jean Hader, age 74, of Derby, Kansas and long time resident of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. Norma was born in The Dalles, Oregon to Norman and Hazel (Doyle) Woods on December 21, 1946. She went to high school in Fredonia, Kansas and graduated in 1964. On September 10, 1966 she married the love of her life, Bill Hader in Fredonia, Kansas. The couple made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their sons, Brad and Jeff. In addition to caring for her family and kids, Norma worked as a bank teller with several banks in Coffeyville until her retirement. She also enjoyed being an active member of the Tyro Christian Church until moving to Derby, Kansas in 2019. She loved lemon desserts and being surrounded by her family and friends. Norma is survived by her husband, Bill Hader of the home; her sons, Brad Hader and wife, Tammy of Derby, Kansas, Jeff Hader and wife, Lori of Haysville, Kansas; grandson, Zachary Hader; nieces, Jenny Puls, Barbara Cox, Patty Felts, and a nephew, Chad Barnhart. She is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Faulkner; her father, Norman Woods; brother, Eddie Woods and sister, Judy Barnhart. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Tyro Christian Church. Evangelist David Bycroft will officiate. Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville for family and friends to sign the guest register throughout the day. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donors choice; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Rd.
