Obituary of Sandra D. Ryan

Sandy D. Ryan, age 63, of Independence, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Sandy was born on March 7, 1958, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Ruby Miller-Goyer. Following her mother's death when Sandy was 11 she went to live with her aunt and uncle, Frances and Jimmy Wooten. Growing up she attended school in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and in Coffeyville where she attended and Bible Baptist School and graduated from Field Kindley High School Sandy was united in marriage to William Myers, after seventeen years together the couple divorced. Sandy worked as a teacher's aide. She attended church at the Lewark Church of God; she spent time reading her Bible and praying often. She enjoyed reading books and spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Crystal Myers of Coffeyville, Kansas, Tia Michelle Gray of Independence, Kansas; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Ricky Ryan of Collinsville, Oklahoma; sisters, Linda Ploch of Texas, Glenda Cameron of Parsons, Kansas, Roseann Fields of San Antonio, Texas, Marla Pugh of Caney, Kansas; along with many extended relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Miller-Goyer. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lewark Church of God in Coffeyville. Pastor Haskell Evanson will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. David W. Barnes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
