Tommey Earl Gordon, age 78, of rural Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at his home.
Tommey was born on October 2, 1943, in Caney, Kansas to William and Edna (Sterling) Gordon. He grew up in Edna, Kansas where he graduated high school. He proudly served in the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War and had earned the rank of E5 at the time of his honorable discharge in 1969.
On October 9, 1968, he was united in marriage to Christiane "Chris" Artmann in Chicago, Illinois. The couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas of that union, one child, Kim was born. In addition to taking care of the home and family, Tommey worked for Pepsi and Clean Harbors as route driver, remediation team member. Tommey's hobbies were fishing, camping and spending time with family.
Those surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Christiane "Chris" Gordon, daughter, Kim Luckinbill of Ponca City, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Chase Gordon, Hailey Potter, Christopher Potter, great granddaughter, Chloe Gordon, brother, Tim Gordon of Coffeyville, Kansas and Willard Gordon of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna Gordon.
Following Tommey's wishes, cremation will take place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. No public services are scheduled at this time.
