Obituary of Iva Marilyn Dick

Iva Marilyn Dick, 85, of Coffeyville, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. Marilyn was born on October 1, 1936, at Cherryvale, Kansas to Howard and Nancy (Montgomery) Knight. She grew up and attended school in Cherryvale and completed her education at Odessa, Texas where she graduated from high school. On October 17, 1956, she married Charles Franklin Dick at Coffeyville. Following their marriage, they made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their family. Marilyn was employed at the Parsons Ammunition Plant, Funk Mfg. Co., Westerm Publishing, the Natural Food Center. Her husband, Charles preceded her in death on May 13, 2017. Marilyn was a member of Tyro Christian Church. She enjoyed crafts of all types, she excelled in decorating eggs, and painting. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Eric Dick and wife, Lori of Coffeyville, and Terrell "Terry" Layne Dick and wife Shelly of Liberty; one brother, Norman Knight of Cottonwood, Arizona; one sister, Maurine Lankford of Emmett, Idaho; one sister-in-law, Maxine Dick of Coffeyville; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Gayland Kim Dick; one brother, George Knight; and four sisters, Mary Jacobs, Willa Peyton, Pauline Montgomery, and Carolyn Snow.
