Glenn was born on June 2, 1954, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Marvin and Myrtle (Miesner) Flanders. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended Edgewood Elementary school and graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School.
On June 21, 1974, he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Diana Chance in Coffeyville. The couple made their home in rural Coffeyville, moving to Dearing, Kansas in 1977. They were members of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Coffeyville.
Glenn was a hard worker; he drove a milk truck hauling milk from farms in Missouri and Arkansas to Page Milk Company in Coffeyville. He drove a concrete truck for the old Coffeyville Ready Mix plant, then drove a dump truck for Muller Construction for many years until he retired in January of 2021. He collected Budweiser memorabilia, enjoyed the outdoors and most of all loved the time he spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Flanders and in 1977 a stillborn son, Jeromy Lee Flanders.
