Clifford "Bill" Ralston, age 77, of Coffeyville, KS, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at Medicalodge Nursing Home in Dewey, OK after a lengthy illness.
Bill was born February 6, 1936 at the family home in Coffeyville to Vincent William and Juanita (Folk) Ralston. He attended school in Coffeyville, KS and Lenapah, OK and graduated from Labette County High School in Altamont in 1954.
He worked for a time a Boeing in Wichita, KS and Dixon Ind. And at one time was a farmer in the Angola, area. He worked at Farmland Ind. For twenty years retiring in 1998 as an operator in the coker unit.
Bill was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golfing, and loved watching football. He was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan.
In 1954 he married Margene Parks of Parsons and they were later divorced. On March 11, 1985 he married June (Williams) Pugh in Miami, OK, she survives.
Survivors include his wife, June of the home; three sons, Victor Ralston and wife Diane of Englewood, OH, Wesley Ralston of Cherryvale, and Shaun Ralston of Parsons; two daughters, Rhonda Cramer, and Shelley Perez and husband Martin all of Parsons; three step-children, Kelli Williams and friend Kris of Bartlesville, OK, Lisa Barrager of Coffeyville, and David Pugh and wife Pam of Moran, KS; two sisters, Sandy Volz and husband Lowell of South Edna, and Tami Clark of Springdale, AR; seventeen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Michael Scott Ralston.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Richland Cemetery north of Angola, KS.
Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Labette County High School Class of 1954 Scholarship Fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
