Derek Rashad Davis age 32 of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday June 18th, 2022, at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Derek Rashad Davis was born and raised in Coffeyville to his parents, Caron Clark and Ray Richard Davis on September 19, 1989. He went to Whittier Elementary School, Roosevelt Middle School, and Field Kindley High School where he was heavily involved in football, basketball, and track. He received his GED. Derek worked several different jobs through a temp agency over the years, but his true passion was being an Insulator just like his dad and brother. His favorite sport was football, he was very competitive, he didn’t like to lose at all. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and making people laugh. He was enjoying his youth and wanted to travel and see different parts of the United States. Derek Rashad Davis is survived by his mother Caron Clark, father Ray Richard Davis of Coffeyville, Ks, his older brother Ray L. Davis and wife Khanetra Davis of Bossier City, La, their children Kennontae Savage, Khaniah Ornelas, Keriya Davis, Kha-Neah Davis, and Kay’Ariah Davis, his older sister Monique Eckermann and husband Chris Eckermann of Wichita, Ks, their children Makiya Mosley, Josiah Mosley, and ZaMya Eckermann, his little sister Alicia Davis of Louisville, Ky and her son Kyro Davis Hatton, 10 aunts, 1 uncle, and a host of cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmother’s Annie Lee Durden and Emma Lee Cherry, many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Fellowship Church on Friday, July 8th, 2022, at. 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery 2602 Woodland Ave. in Coffeyville. Visitation will be held at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville on Thursday, July 7th from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to David W. Barnes Funeral home 306 N. Cline Rd Coffeyville, KS 67337, the Gofundme that has been set up by the family https://gofund.me/d912570c, or through Ray, Alicia, or Monique’s cashapps. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the beautiful souls who have made donations to help bring Derek home and a proper burial for him.
