Obituary of Betty J. Reed

Sedan - Betty J. Reed, age 42, of Peru, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007 at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan, Kansas. She was born November 11, 1964 in Independence, Kansas to Joseph and Bethene (Antle) Snider. She attended school in Caney, Kansas. She was a longtime resident of Niotaze and Peru, Kansas. She married Marvin "Bud" Reed, Sr. on July 4, 1989. They later divorced. She is survived by one son, Jeremy Snider of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters, Bethene and Jolene Reed, both of Caney, Kansas; her father, Joe Snider of Sedan, Kansas; three brothers, Clifton "Yogi" Snider of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Rick Snider of Sedan, Kansas and Cecil Snider. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bethene. Family and friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Greater New Life Church in Sedan, Kansas with Reverend Mark Loftin of Elk City officiating. Private inurnment will follow at a later date.
