Obituary of Michael Patrick Harvey

Michael Patrick Harvey, age 55, of Nowata, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Michael was born on July 13, 1967, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Larry Harvey and Jewell A. Buss. Throughout his life he lived in Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. He earned his high school education and later became a certified nurse's aide and worked for local nursing homes caring for residents. Through the years he also worked as a bus driver, truck driver, Icab, Parsons Ammunition Plant. On 03/11/2017 in Nowata, Oklahoma Michael married the love of his life, Deanna Sears. The couple made their home in Nowata, Oklahoma. Michael was a member of the Lutheran Church. He loved singing his favorite church hymns. His other hobbies included watching the Kansas City Chiefs football games and old western movies. More than anything he loved the time he spent surrounded by his family and friends. Michael is survived by his wife, Deanna Harvey of the home, children, Joshua Harvey of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Wesley Behner of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Destiny F. Hill of the home, two grandchildren, siblings, Pam (Doyle "Skip") Jackson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Robert "Bobby" Sanders of Tulsa, Oklahoma, David Sanders of Ft. Worth, Texas, Darwin Sanders of Parsons, Kansas, Terry Buss of Dewey, Oklahoma, Brian (Lisa) Buss of Nowata, Oklahoma, Bubba Harvey of Kansas City, Kansas. He was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell Buss and by his father, Larry Harvey, Sr. Following Michael's wishes, cremation will take place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas. There are no public services scheduled at this time.
