Obituary of Steven Dwayne Gardner

Steven Dwayne Gardner, age 49, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the Advena of Living nursing home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Steven was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on March 20, 1973 to David Ray Gardner, Sr. and Deborah Kathryn Enloe. He was later married to Shelly Kirpatrick on September 1, 2000. She preceded him in death on October 15, 2014. Steven worked as a Certified Nurses Aide in Coffeyville at Medicalodges Nursing Home for two years. He enjoyed watching movies, driving around, being silly and funny. He loved making friends and helping others. His favorite foods were hamburgers and eggs and anything home cooked by his momma. Steven was also preceded in death by his father, David Gardner, Sr., his sister, Patsey Colleen Malicoat Gardner and his brother, David R. Gardner, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Deborah Enloe, brother, Grady R. Gardner, stepfather, David Owens; adopted siblings, Darlene Gardner, David and Doug Baldridge, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Following Steven’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas. No public services are scheduled at this time.
