Obituary of Raymond A. Selcho

Raymond A. Selcho, 85 of Hudson, Wisconsin and former longtime Coffeyville resident, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, in Hudson.
He was born on April 7, 1937, in Ritzville, Washington to the late John and Esther (Lloyd) Selcho. Ray grew up and attended school in Ritzville.
Ray married the love of his life, Carolyn Thompson, on March 14, 1964. Following their marriage, they made their home in Coffeyville, where they raised their four daughters. Ray owned and operated Selcho Lock and Key in Coffeyville for 47 years, retiring in 2017. Following his wife's death in 2018, he moved to Hudson, Wisconsin to live with his daughter's family.
Ray was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Coffeyville and was active in the community. He and his family could often be found either at church or the roller skating rink. He loved to read, drink Pepsi-Cola and spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching his family race cars on the dirt track at Caney Valley Speedway. After moving to Wisconsin, he still kept up with Grace Fellowship's online church services.
He is survived by his four daughters, Terry (Gary) Langworthy of Coffeyville; Sherry Songer of South Coffeyville, OK; Kristi (Mike) Gilmore of Reston, VA; and Jonay (Mark) Meyer of Hudson, WI; five grandchildren, Gary (Jaime) Langworthy, Crystal (Chris) Vannoster, Cameron (Amber) Songer, Daniel (Haunna) Songer and Hunter Meyer as well as several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sweet sister, Sharon Moore of Lyman, SC. He was predeceased by his loving sisters, Joan Hauge, Bernice Basso, Verna Mae Taylor, Linda Kellogg and Charlene Dillon.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 4th at Grace Fellowship Church, 2455 Woodland Ave. in Coffeyville with Pastor Doug Mund officiating. The service will be live streamed at www.gracefellow.net or Grace Fellowship's Facebook page. Ray will be laid to rest by his beloved wife in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made in his honor to Grace Fellowship's Youth and Children Ministry. Contributions may be left with or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
