Marvin was one of the finest men I have ever known. Growing up "across the alley" from the Long's, I have some very fond memories of the love and caring man he was to eveyone he met. I remember sitting on the old rug while he cranked that ice cream maker on many summer evenings!! Playing ball in the lot next to the house and snooping around Moon Hill for some used cooper wire so Crickett and I could sell it at Heyman's to buy soda and candy! Marvin and Rosemary were like second parents to my brother and sisters.I enjoyed visiting with them whenever my family made it back to see my mom and dad. A couple of times, we even hit it on "Cheeseburger Friday" I know for sure that Saint Peter held the gates to Heaven wide open for Marvin to make his entrance into the Kingdom of God and Rosemary was thre waiting for their forever dance to Bob Wills. Sure gonna miss you Marvin!!
Love you all,
Booby and Therese Owen

We are going to miss "Uncle" Marvin terribly. He has always been an important part of Larry's life and I am so thankful I was able to get to know and love him, too. We really thought we would one day celebrate his 100th birthday. I know all of his family will miss him greatly, too. My prayers for comfort for all of you. He and Rosemary will be making some good hamburgers in Heaven.
