Carus H. Williams, 95, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday evening (December 21, 2006) at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 18, 1911 at Rocky Comfort, Missouri to Clay and Julie (Campbell) Williams. He grew up in the Rocky Comfort and Stella, Missouri area and attended school at Success, Missouri.
On July 29, 1928 he married Ruby Collings at rural Stella, Missouri. Following their marriage they made their home on the family farm near Rocky Comfort. Mrs. Williams preceded him in death on September 10, 1996. Mr. Williams moved to Coffeyville in June 2004 to make his home closer to his son and family.
Survivors include his son, Howard Williams and his wife Evelyn; two brothers, Wayne Williams of rural Rocky Comfort, Missouri, and Dennis Williams of Daleville, Alabama; two grandchildren, Ronnie Williams of Coffeyville, and Bonnie Foster of Coffeyville; two great-grandchildren, Josh Foster, and Kayce Foster of Coffeyville; and one great-great-grandson, Nate Foster of Coffeyville.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (December 26, 2006) in the Union Cemetery at Rocky Comfort, Missouri, with Rev. Billy Joe Gentry officiating.
Friends may call on Sunday (Dec. 24, 2006) from noon to 4:00 p.m. and Monday (Dec. 25, 2006) from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
