William W. Ammerman, 78, of Coffeyville, passed away Friday night (September 15, 2006) at his home.
He was born August 12, 1928, at Princeton, Indiana to Frank and Jimmy (Dooms) Ammerman. He grew up in Princeton where he attended school, and graduated from Princeton High School.
On July 21, 1950 he married Patricia Channel at Princeton. Following their marriage they moved to Ventura, California where Mr. Ammerman was employed in display advertising with the Oxnard Press-Courier Newspaper in Oxnard, CA, for almost 35 years. Following his retirement in 1988 they moved to Coffeyville.
Mr. Ammerman was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia of the home; three sons, Curtis Ammerman of Ventura, CA; James Ammerman, and Richard Ammerman both of Coffeyville; two daughters, Denise Owens of Ventura, CA, and Teresa Bixby of McCall, Idaho; one sister, Virginia Mayhugh of Walnut Creek, CA; fifteen grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.
