Rachel Erin Rollings, 22, the beloved daughter of Tom and Colleen (Curtan) Rollings and sister of Ryan Connor Rollings was born February 16, 1984 in Durango, Colorado.
Rachel was a student at Texas A & M Commerce pursuing a degree in elementary education.
She was a member of Chi Omega where she served as new member educator. Rachel received her associate degree from Coffeyville Community College where she played volleyball. She graduated from Field Kindley High School in 2002, where she played several sports throughout high school.
She moved to Coffeyville when she was in the fourth grade.
She was a resident assistant at Texas A & M Commerce. She was to begin student teaching in the fall. She was tragically killed in a car accident near Dallas, Texas. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her parents, Tom and Colleen Rollings of Coffeyville, Kansas; her brother, Ryan Connor Rollings of Fayetteville, Arkansas and her paternal grandmother, Meredyth Rollings of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
A Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (August 12, 2006) in the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville with Rachel's uncle Sean Curtan officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.
Friends may sign the register book on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Texas A & M Commerce University Foundation, P.O. Box 3425, Commerce, Texas 75429 or Coffeyville Community College instate volleyball scholarship.
David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
