Buddie E. Dick, 69, of rural Coffeyville died Sunday (August 6, 2006) at his home.
He was born May 28, 1937 at Mound Valley, Kansas to Roy Frank and Mae E. (Peyton) Dick.
On May 31, 1959 he was united in marriage with Maxine Reed at Coffeyville.
Mr. Dick was employed at Vaughn's Service Station, before entering the U.S. Army. After receiving an honorable discharge they returned to Coffeyville where he began working for Funk Mfg. Co., he retired from John Deere-Funk after 27 years of employment.
Buddie enjoyed fishing, buying and selling, and visiting with friends and relatives.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine of the home; three sons, Allen Dick and his wife Julia of Coffeyville, Michael Dick of Coffeyville, and Ron Dick of Tyro; his mother Mae E. Dick of Coffeyville; one brother, Charles Dick of Coffeyville; one granddaughter, three grandsons and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his father.
Graveside Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (August 10, 2006) in the Havana Cemetery at Havana, KS, with David Bycroft of the Tyro Christian Church officiating.
Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, the casket will be closed.
The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association or the Charity of the Donor's Choice, contributions may be left with the funeral home.
