Obituary of Susan E. Stewart

Sedan - Susan Earlene Stewart, age 45, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Monday, May 5, 2008 at her home in Sedan, Kansas. She was born April 21, 1963 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Elmer Earl and Lois (Pinkerton) Padgett. She attended and graduated from Sedan High School. She married Daniel Stewart on May 1, 2004 at River Church in Ft. Collins, Colorado. They lived in Colorado until moving to Sedan in 2006. She worked as a cook at the Sedan City Hospital for two years. She was a member of the River Church in Ft. Collins, Colorado. She liked to sing, play volleyball and basketball and she loved to cook. She is survived by her husband Daniel Stewart, two sons, Daniel and Ryan Stewart and one daughter Jessica Stewart all of the home in Sedan, Kansas; her mother, Lois Padgett of Sedan; three sisters, Audrey Padgett of Chautauqua, Kansas, Debra Wieden of Baldwin City, Kansas, Linda Padgett-Huisman of Caney, Kansas, one brother Albert Padgett of Wichita, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Earl Padgett and one brother, Earl Padgett, Jr. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan, Kansas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Riley Cemetery, east of Sedan, Kansas with Dr. J. Dean McNamara of the First Baptist Church officiating. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Stewart Children Memorial Fund and these remembrances may be left in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
