Mary Ellen Clark, age 94, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 18, 2006 at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan.
She was born June 25, 1912 in Dearing, Kansas to Thornton and Minnie (Durst) Blackburn. She married James E. Clark, Sr. on May 22, 1928 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She worked as a sales clerk at the Corner Drugstore in Sedan, Kansas. She has lived in Sedan since 1985.
She is survived by two sons, James E. Clark, Jr. of rural Havana, Kansas and Robert L. Clark of Caney, Kansas; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, one daughter, Jean Lambdin, three sisters and three brother.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2006 at the Hillsdale Cemetery, Northwest of Havana, Kansas.
Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas.
