Marguerite R. Shepherd, 92, of Coffeyville passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 31, 1915 at Admire, Kansas to Emmitt and Minnie (Trout) Riggin. She grew up in Admire where she received her education graduating from Admire High School. Following high school she attended Emporia State University in Emporia and Columbia University in New York City.
On June 6, 1943 she married Donald Shepherd at Lawrence, KS. Following their marriage they made their home in New York City until moving to Coffeyville about 10 years ago.
Mrs. Shepherd was a teacher and homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of the home; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will be at a later date.
David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
