Charley Leroy Victory, born April 27th, 1945, near Claremore, OK died on August 26th, 2013 at Jane Phillips Memorial Hospital in Bartlesville, OK after a long bout with illness.
He was a Field Kindley Cross Country Runner and joined the US Army without finishing school. After completing his Infantry training he then cross-trained and became a member of the Military Police, finishing his single term of enlistment with the rank of Sergeant.
After being unhitched from the Army, he got himself hitched to his first wife, Helen. Together they had two sons, Grady and Shawn. By the time the boys were both school age Charley had become a business man and electrical contractor.
He was divorced twice. He was married a final time to Debra Jean Blankenship, whom adored him. Sadly she preceded him in death.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alberta Victory. He is survived by his brothers, Darrel and Jerdie. His sons, Grady and Shawn. And his grandchildren, Tamara, Shawn Stone, and Terex.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio. Military Honors will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1022 and American Legion Post #20. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
