Margaret Dell "Coot" Davis-Harding, 54, of Topeka, formerly of Coffeyville, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2013 at Washburn Community Care Center in Topeka.
She was born April 11, 1959 at Coffeyville to Oscar and Dorothy (Martin) Davis. Margaret grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley High School. After high school she attended Coffeyville Community College.
Margaret was employed for many years as a Dialysis Technician at Overland Park, KS until retiring due to her health.
She was a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Margaret enjoyed life, and loved spending time with her family especially her daughter, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter and many friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Olympia Marshall of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Ronnel Harris, Sr. and wife Yolanda of Colorado Springs, CO, and Oscar Davis, Jr. and wife Hazel of San Fransisco, CA; three sisters, Bernice Davis of Oklahoma City, OK, Lorice Davis of Oklahoma City, OK, and Kay Colon-Steele and husband Larry of Topeka, KS; special sister, Reatha Clark of Independence; four grandchildren, Jazmin, DJ, Tae and Hosea; one great-granddaughter, Chrissy Ziegler; and many nieces and nephews (great and great-great), as well as many cousins.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Marland Davis; and one sister, Deloris Williams.
A Graveside Memorial Service Celebrating Margaret's life will at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Veterans Memorial Patio at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, with Dr. Virgil Horn officiating. Inurnment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may sign the register book on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
