Obituary of Carolyn Sue Lawson

Sedan - Carolyn Sue Lawson, age 66, of Sedan, Kansas passed away July 6, 2013 after several years of chronic illness. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan. No funeral services are planned. Her remains will be laid to rest in the Elgin Cemetery, Elgin, Kansas. Carolyn graduated from Sedan High School with the class of 1965. She worked as a Graphic Artist and earned her Associate's Degree in Commercial Art from Houston Community College in 1986. She was preceded in death by her father Aubrey L. Lawson, and her mother, Elizabeth M. "Wemmer" Wolfe. She is survived by her sister, Mary J. Casady and husband Michael; her nephew, Brently Casady; her niece, Susan Wilmoth; her Aunt Maxine Lawson, her uncle, Donald Lawson, her cousins, Judy Stout, Nina Thompson, Larry Dean Gawthrop, Harry Lloyd Lawson, Ivan Lawson, Ron Lawson, Harry Lee Lawson, and Thursie Mae Lawson and families. The family requests no flowers and suggests memorial contributions to the Sedan VFW, Chautauqua County Animal Shelter, Humane Society or American Heart Association. Also to honor Carolyn's memory do a good deed for a neighbor.
