Coffeyville - Margie M. Wilson, 90, former longtime Dearing and Coffeyville resident, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Vintage Health Care Center in Denton, TX. She was born May 28, 1923 in Dade County, MO, to Wesley and Lennie (Tolbert) Clark. When Margie was young her family moved to the Tyro, KS area where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Tyro High School. In August 1941 she married Dale Martin at Tyro, KS. Mr. Martin died will serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. On August 3, 1947 she married Wayne Wilson at Tyro, KS. Following their marriage they made their home in Wichita where Wayne was employed as a sheet metal worker at Boeing Aircraft Co. In 1953 they returned to Montgomery County making their home in Dearing. When their children were older Margie worked for several years at Electra in Independence, she then spent 17 years as a private Home Health Care provider. Wayne preceded her in death on March 23, 2011. Margie was a member of the First Assembly of God in Coffeyville; she loved to sing not only at her church but several churches in the area, and at weddings and funerals. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, canning, and embroidering, but most of all she loved the time spent with her family. Survivors include one son, Patrick Martin and wife Karen of Denton, TX; one daughter, Delpha Yeats of Coffeyville; one daughter-in-law, Donna Martin of Longmont, CO; seven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Dale Martin and Wayne Wilson; one son, Galen Martin; two brothers, and three sisters. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, at the First Assembly of God with Rev. Randy DePriest of the First Assembly of God and Rev. Ernie Wright of Lewark Church of God officiating. Burial will be in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the First Assembly of God; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
