Coffeyville - Susie Louise Rutledge, 85, of rural South Coffeyville, OK, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at her home. She was born October 27, 1927 at Coffeyville to Benjamin F. and Ada May (Boyd) Griswold. Susie grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1946. In 1950 she married Howard Mangels, they were later divorced. In 1975 she married William Rutledge, he preceded her in death in 1982. Susie was a licensed beautician, working as a hair stylist for several years and farmed. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Susie enjoyed crafts, bowling, painting, photography, gardening, and sewing, she also loved watching birds and listening to Country and Western music. Survivors include two sons, Vince Mangels and wife Debbie of South Coffeyville, OK, and Dane Mangels and fiance Beverly Johnson of Nowata, OK; four granddaughters, Misty Wishall and husband Tom of Bartlesville, OK, Nikole Drum and husband Chris of Derby, KS, Dana Means and husband Corey of South Coffeyville, OK, and Rayna Mangels of South Coffeyville, OK; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and four sisters, Beradine McConnell, Leota Raper, Marie Gann, and Pauline Maritt. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio with John Greenfield of South Coffeyville officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Heart of America Chapter; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
