Coffeyville - Horace Ronald "Ron" Norfleet, Jr., 71, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at his home. He was born July 7, 1941 at Oklahoma City, OK to Horace Ronald and Ella Nora (Hendricks) Norfleet, Sr. When he was young his family moved to Coffeyville where he grew up and attended school, graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1959, and Coffeyville Community College. On October 26, 1963, he married Linda Thomason at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where Ron was Inventory Control Specialist at John Deere Co. (Funk Mfg. Co.) until retiring in July 2007. Ron was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Keystone Masonic Lodge #102 A.F. & A.M., where he served as Worshipful Master in 1988, Mirza Temple, and Past President of the American Production and Inventory Control Society. He enjoyed the many years he worked at Tals Midland Theater, golfing, Nascar Racing, watching OU sporting events, photography and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home; three daughters, Elizabeth Bertoncino and husband D.J. of Joplin, MO, Chris Guest and husband David of Joplin, MO, and Susan Norfleet-Johnson and husband Christopher of Broken Arrow, OK; seven grandchildren, Domenic Bertoncino, Anthony Bertoncino, and Cameron Bertoncino, Andrew Guest, William Guest, Harli Johnson and Jalynn Johnson; three nieces Vicki Dixon Nix and husband Larry, Jerry Kraftt, Robbye Coghill Carpenter; one nephew William Carpenter and wife Joanne; and one brother, Robert Carpenter of Tulsa, OK. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with Mother Antoinette Tackett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville with Masonic Rites conducted by Keystone Masonic Lodge #102 A.F. & A. M. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
