Coffeyville - Marvin Oneslager, age 91, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away Thursday evening (April 10, 2008) at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. Marvin was born on January 8, 1917 in Coffeyville to Christopher and Nora (Merrick) Oneslager. On May 18, 1940 he married Nellie McClure in Webb City, Missouri and they made their home in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma where they raised their two sons. He retired from Sherwin-Williams after 28 years of employment. Survivors include Nellie of the home; two sons, Allen Oneslager of the home and Dwayne (Geraldine) Oneslager of Coffeyville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Marvin has been preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mildred. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the North Edna Cemetery with Pastor Gary Stevens of Amazing Grace Chapel officiating. Friends may call on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Marvin's family suggests that contributions in his memory be made to Amazing Grace Chapel or Grace Fellowship. Memorial contributions can be left with the funeral directors or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Rd., Coffeyville, KS, 67337.
