Doris A. Hotchkiss, 88, of Liberty, KS passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 7, 1925, at Fort Scott, KS to Monroe and Nellie (Stark) Hotchkiss. Doris grew up and attended school in Fort Scott, graduating from Fort Scott High School.
In 1947, she married Ernest Graham, they were later divorced.
She was employed as Accounts Manager at General Press in Des Moines, IA and later sold Printing Equipment. In the early 1990's she moved from Des Moines to Liberty.
Doris was a member of Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting, square dancing, reading and playing the piano, for many years she taught piano lessons.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbora Long-Thomas of Liberty, and Diana Umbaugh of Winterset, IA; eight grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son-in-law.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. A private family interment service will be at the Fairview Cemetery near Prescott, KS.
The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
