Sedan - E. Paul White, 96 of Sedan, Kansas passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born April 15, 1917 in Niotaze, Kansas to William Earnest White and Blanche Burkett. He attended and graduated from school in Grenola, Kansas. After graduating from high school he married Leota Lucille Witt on September 24, 1939 in Wauneta, Kansas.
He worked for the United States Postal Service before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1943. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He then continued working for the Post office until his retirement in 1979. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2001.
He married Betty Watson on July 17, 2002 in Sedan where they made their home until she passed away on November 18, 2008. He then married Jeane McCann on June 6, 2009 and she survives of the home.
Paul was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sedan for many years as he served on many committees in the Church; he also loved to travel, and was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Sedan.
Survivors include his wife Jeane White of the home in Sedan; two daughters, Trudy Wilkinson and the late Kenny of Wichita, Kansas and Yvonne Cobbs and husband Dale of Garnett, Kansas; one son, Douglas White and wife Margie of Kansas City, Missouri; four step-sons; Kent McCann, Dean McCann, David Casement, and Brad Casement; two step-daughters, Janis Schweitzer and Susan Casement; Six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Lucille, second wife Betty, one brother Kent White, and his parents.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the First Baptist Church in Sedan.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sedan with Reverend Gene DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan.
Memorials have been suggested to the First Baptist Church of Sedan, and may be left in care of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
