Coffeyville - Angela "Angie" Folk Speer, 47, of rural Lenapah, OK, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK. She was born on June 4, 1965 to Robert and Marilyn (Baker) Folk in Coffeyville. Angie grew up in the Lenapah area where she attended Lenapah's schools, graduating from Lenapah High School. After high school she continued her education attending St. Gregory's College in Shawnee, OK, and receiving an Associate Degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, OK. On August 4, 2008 she married Harry Speer; they made their home in rural Lenapah. Angie was employed at the family businesses the Southern Supper Club, the Southern Bingo Palace and the Folk Foundation all in South Coffeyville. Angie was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church; she was a proud member of the Cherokee Indian Tribe. In her spare time she enjoyed following the stock market, floral design, flower gardening, watching the sun set and counting her blessings. But above anything she loved being with her family, her daughters and her grandchildren. Angie was a very compassionate, loving, selfless woman. Angie knew no stranger and always accepted each and every individual as they were. She had a wonderful way about her that made each person she came in contact with feel like the most important and special person in the world. She excels in giving, not receiving. Angie could brighten anyone's day with her words of wisdom and infectious smile. Angie loved all her girls equally. The bond she shared between her children was always positive and uplifting. We are all better for having known her and blessed for having been loved by her.
