Coffeyville - Roberta M. Bardenhagen, 87, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Windsor Place. She was born December 29, 1925 at Blackwell, OK to Roger and Lovina (Donaldson) Grim. When she was young her family moved to Coffeyville where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1942, and Coffeyville Community College. On June 6, 1948 she married C.D. "Red" Bardenhagen at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. For many years Roberta worked as an Accountant and was employed at Winfield Walker, The Coffeyville Journal, C. Robert Belt and Co., and Richard Hendrix C.P.A. Her husband preceded her in death on February 23, 1984. Roberta was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. In her spare time she enjoyed golfing, and bowling. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Thelma Grim of Eden Prairie, MN; her nephew, Roger Grim and wife Wendy of Eden Prairie, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville with Rev. Richard Peckman of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Memorials are suggested to the Charity of the Donor's Choice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS.
