I have so many fond memories of Melvin and Maxine being at my Grandma and Grandpa Newton's home in Kenwood, OK, when I was little. I'm so sorry I won't be able to attend the services tomorrow, but the family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. There are many fond memories of times spent with Melvin and Maxine. From the Thanksgiving dinners at their house when we were so far away from our family in Arkansas to the Saturday evening visits. It was always fun to be around them. Melvin was such a pleasant person to be around. He always seemed geniunely glad to see me and I never heard him feeling sorry for himself. I have a jacket that use to belong to him and it will be even more special to me now, because I will think of him everytime I wear it. I will miss him.
