Sedan - Barbara J. Brown age 71 of Sedan Kansas passed away Thursday March 7, 2013 at her home in rural Sedan. Barbara was horn on October 9, 1941 in Crockett, Texas to Cleveland and Irene (Reece) Williams. She married Golden Brown, had 2 children and made her home in Texas for many years. She later moved to Houston, Texas to care for her elderly mother, before moving to Sedan, KS with her granddaughter Tammie Harris in 2008. Barbara worked a variety of jobs, before becoming disabled. Barbara enjoyed being with family, fishing, sewing and cross stitching. Barbara is survived by one daughter; Teresa Roever of Pueblo Colorado; two brothers; Donald Williams and his wife Verlie of Houston, Texas and Dewayne Williams and his wife Joyce of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters Faye Harris and her husband of Houston, Texas and Rita White and her husband Leonard also of Houston, Texas; Nine grandchildren, and numerous great grand children. She is proceeds in death by both parents; her son; and one brother. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sedan with Reverend Gene DeWitt officiating. Private inurnment will follow at a later date.
