Marion M. Priddy, 96, of Mt. Zion, IL, and former longtime Coffeyville resident, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL.
She was born December 11, 1916, at Coffeyville to George and Charlotte (Sharp) Crawford. Marion grew up in Coffeyville where she attended Holy Name Catholic School and Field Kindley High School.
On July 8, 1935, she married Hugh Priddy at Neosho, MO. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Mr. Priddy preceded her in death on January 25, 1987. Following her husband's death she continued to make her home in Coffeyville until moving to Mt. Zion, IL several years ago to be closer to her daughter.
Marion was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou Munday and her husband, Howard Harrell of Lebanon, MO, and Janie Cole and husband, Donald of Dalton City, IL; one son, Hugh Priddy and wife Carol of Scottsdale, AZ; one daughter-in-law; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Phil Priddy; one grandson, Thomas Grant (Mummert) Cole; one sister, Virginia "Jean" Mace; and one niece, Deanna Henry.
A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2013 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ben Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Holy Name Catholic School; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
