Obituary of David Eugene Doty

Sedan - David Eugene Doty, 53 of Sedan, Kansas passed away January 31, 2013 at the Sedan City Hospital in Sedan He was born September 4, 1959 to Bill Max Doty and Melrena Miller in Sedan, Kansas. He grew up in Sedan and attended Sedan schools before graduating from Sedan High School in 1977. After high school he worked numerous jobs and had been helping Bobby Allan with his cattle and farming recently. David was an avid baseball fan and he loved to shoot guns. He is survived by three brothers; Richard "Rick" Doty of Sedan, Kansas, Arthur Doty of Del City, Oklahoma, and Joe Doty of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Linda Sleeth of Topeka, Kansas; Step brother and sister; Don Smith & Cindy Myers of Sedan, Kansas. Half-brothers and sisters; Leah Doty, Darrel Doty, Kelli Doty, Kris Doty all of Topeka, Kansas; many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles and one step brother. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Sedan VFW and after the short service there will be sharing with the family until 3:00 p.m.
