It was a special privilege to be a friend of Dale and Winifred Maxson. I have many fond memories of the formative years of USD 506 and Dale's dedicated service as a board member. I'll always remember his "As the man says" followed by his own words of great wisdom which helped solve many a problem. He was a good man who lived a good life and did a lot of good for others. He left a great heritage for his family and a lot of good memories for the rest of us.

What an impressive list of organizations in which he participated! Dale definitely made a difference with his life.
He was also proud of being a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklaoma and kept abreast of what was happening in "Indian Country."
My condolances to his family and friends.

Prayers for you all at this difficult time. Always enjoyed hearing Dale sing the hymns at church, will miss him and his joyful voice.
Kristi, (this is from Susan) it was so heartwarming to see the way you tended to your Dad by bringing him to Rio's school functions and to church, etc. There is something about the bond between a girl and her Daddy that no one can take away, not even death. You know in your heart that you took care of your Dad as best you could, and he knew that, too. Love and Prayers

My sympathy goes to you all. I remember Dale when I was young and living at Valeda. He was a dedicated man who had concern for many things. He helped so many people through the years and did help some of the younger generation to learn about cattle . I pray God gives you all strength in this time of sorrow.
