Sedan - Charles Edward Jackson, 75 of Cedar Vale, Kansas passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on September 8, 1937 in Glasgow, Montana to Ernest H. Jackson and Scovel Edith (Smith) Jackson. He received his education in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked as an iron worker for many years and also remodeled houses. He married Sally Madden on December 7, 2000 in Holton, Kansas. They have been together since 1960. They lived in Holton before moving to Cedar Vale in 2000. He was a member of the Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints, enjoyed kickboxing and was trained by Chuck Norris in the 1970's. He loved wrestling, the Dallas Cowboys and Dale Earnhardt, and also was a bull rider and loved rodeoing. He is survived by his wife, Sally Jackson of Cedar Vale, Kansas; three daughters, Angel Wirtz of Iowa, Rose Matherly of Florida, and Scovel Louise Jackson of Coffeyville, Kansas; two sons, Chuck Jackson of Wichita, Kansas and Edward Jackson of Wichita, Kansas; one step-son, James Glover of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Dean Stevens of Kansas City, Missouri; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, one brother, one sister, his parents, one grandchild and one great grandchild. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
