Coffeyville - Kenneth D. Hickman, 81, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born December 26, 1930, at Drexel, Missouri. When he as young his family moved to Osawatomie, KS, where he grew up and received his education. Kenneth was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army Air Corp with the 13th Bomb Squadron from 1951 thru 1952. After his discharge from the Amy Air Corp he began his career as a Mechanic for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, now the Union Pacific Railroad retiring in 1992. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Keystone Masonic Lodge #102 A.F. & A.M., and Mirza Temple. Survivors include three sons, Daniel Hickman of Wagoner, OK, William "Bill" Hickman, and Charles Hickman both of Coffeyville; three step-daughters, Linda Knowlton of Coffeyville, Peggy Hickok of Chetopa, and Terry Hickok of Fayette, MO; two brothers, Clifford Hickman of Spring Hill, and George Hickman of Paola; eleven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nora, one son in 1997, one step-son, and two sisters. Following Kenneth's wishes cremation has taken place and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
